1 out of every 3 women in the U.S. will develop some form of cancer in her lifetime.
That’s why sanofi-aventis develops drugs to fight the cancers that affect women.
From our innovative research strategy and our diverse portfolio of therapies, to
our patient awareness and support programs, sanofi-aventis is committed to fighting
cancer on many fronts—and to making a difference in the lives of patients with cancer
and their families.
Get the facts. Share the feelings.
Look to the future—our mantra to empower women.
Our efforts are focused on encouraging women to get the facts about cancer risks
and to get screened regularly, regardless of their age. We help women who are diagnosed
share their feelings with family and friends. And, most of all, we work constantly
to develop the treatments women need to fight cancer, so they can look to the future
with hope.
Arm yourself with knowledge.
Visit CancerInformation.com for more information
about the different types of cancer that affect women, treatment options, and where
to look for ongoing support.
Share the Feelings.
Cancer affects all of us.
In 2009, it was estimated that 700,000 women in the U.S. would be diagnosed with
cancer.
It’s important to take an active part in your healthcare and know that if you have
cancer, or are at risk for it, you are not alone.
Together with our partners in advocacy, sanofi-aventis is working to connect women
who’ve been affected by cancer and to honor their fight.
Share the feelings on Facebook with other women who’re
involved in the fight against cancer.
Look to the Future.
Our commitment is ongoing.
Sanofi-aventis and our partners understand that there are many facets of women and
cancer. We’re committed to making a difference in women’s lives by fighting the
disease on many fronts—and finding new ways to look forward with hope, like
Kaleidoscope.
The Kaleidoscope program helped sanofi-aventis raise awareness about women’s
cancers.
On Thanksgiving Day, sanofi-aventis was proud to present Kaleidoscope: A Celebration
of Survivorship Through Sport and Song, an uplifting and inspiring national
television program featuring such entertainers as Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi,
and Nancy Kerrigan.

Prevent Cancer Foundation
The mission of the Prevent Cancer Foundation is cancer prevention and early detection
through research, education and community outreach to all populations, including
children and the underserved. Since 1985, the Foundation has carried out this mission
in three important ways:
- By funding research that helps us understand how to prevent cancer;
- By educating the public on how they can prevent cancer; and
- By reaching out to communities across the country through our partnerships to provide
free educational and screening programs.
We envision a future where cancer incidence and mortality will be significantly
reduced through preventive measures.
Since the Foundation’s inception, it has provided more than $106 million in support
