Meals Mocktails

Delicious fruit blends offer colorful alternatives to alcohol. And because fruits are high in antioxidants and other cancer-fighting vitamins, they're a smart choice for any occasion.

Fruit Facts

In most large studies, eating more colorful fruits and vegetables has been linked to lower risk of lung, oral, esophageal, stomach, and colon cancers.

Pineapples are rich in Vitamin C, which is thought by some to enhance the immune system by stimulating white blood cells and anticancer agents.

Diets high in vegetables and fruits have been linked to lower risk of colon cancer.

Limiting how much alcohol you drink decreases your risk of getting breast cancer.

Choose a variety of foods from all the food groups. Try to eat at least 5 to 7 servings a day of fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits and dark-green and deep-yellow vegetables.

2 oz. cranberry juice
2 oz. soda water
Splash of lime juice
Lime twist

Combine cranberry juice, soda water, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lime twist.
Kaleidojito

4 oz. soda water
1 slice lemon
3 sprigs fresh mint
2 tsp. sugar

Put a splash of the soda water in a rocks glass with the sugar and mint. Use a spoon or a pestle to crush sugar and mint into soda water. Add remaining soda water. Add a lemon slice and remaining mint, and serve.

2 oz. pineapple juice
1½ oz. coconut cream
Pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry for garnish

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with pineapple wedge and maraschino cherry.
Ka-bellini
2 oz. peach juice or peach purée
4 oz. soda water

Pour the peach juice or peach purée into a champagne flute. Slowly add the soda water.
